1. Overview and Scope
Privacy policies are often written in a way that nobody reads. We would rather you understand this one, so we have kept the language simple and avoided promising anything we cannot stand behind.
IncoinPay.org.in publishes educational articles about P2P token trading apps, UPI payment safety, common scams, and how to verify a website or app before trusting it. You do not need an account to read our pages, and we do not sell anything on this site.
This policy applies to every page on incoinpay.org.in, including the main guide, the About, Contact, Disclaimer and User Safety pages, and this page. It describes the information that can reach us when you visit, and what we do with it. It does not apply to other websites that we link to, such as Telegram, Google Fonts or any UPI application, because we do not control how those services work.
If you disagree with anything here, the simplest option is to stop using the site. If you have a question, please contact us and we will try to answer it clearly.
2. Who We Are
The website is run by the IncoinPay.org.in Editorial Team, a small independent group that researches and writes user guides. You can read more on the About Us page.
We want to be direct about what we are not. We are not the developer, owner, or support team of the Incoin Pay app. We are not a bank, a payment service, a crypto exchange, or a financial adviser, and we do not hold anyone's money or tokens. We cannot reset your app password, reverse a payment, or look up your account.
For the purposes of this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the IncoinPay.org.in Editorial Team, and "you" means anyone visiting the website.
3. Information We May Collect
We try to collect as little as possible. Information can reach us in two ways: automatically when your browser loads a page, and directly when you choose to write to us.
Information collected automatically
When you open any web page, your browser sends a request to the server that hosts it. That request normally includes technical details, and the hosting setup or analytics tools we use may record some of them:
- IP address: The network address your device uses to reach the internet. It can sometimes indicate your approximate city or region, but it does not tell us your name or identity.
- Browser and device details: Such as browser name and version, operating system, screen size, and language setting.
- Visit details: The pages you opened, the time and date, how long you stayed, and the page or search result that brought you here.
- Technical events: Error messages and failed requests, which help us find broken pages or slow loading.
This information is generally used in summary form, for example to see which guides are read most or whether the site works well on older phones.
Information you give us voluntarily
If you contact us through the Contact Us page, we receive the details you include, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message. Please share only what is needed to answer your question. If you write about a problem you had with a payment or an app, avoid including full bank account numbers, card details, passwords, OTPs, or UPI PINs. We do not need them.
Information from Telegram
Our pages contain a link to a Telegram channel. If you join or message it, Telegram handles your account data under its own policy. We do not receive your phone number from Telegram simply because you clicked the link. Anything you post publicly in a channel or group can be seen by other members.
4. What We Never Ask For
This section matters most for your safety. Because our topic involves payments, fraudsters sometimes copy the style of guide websites. Genuine communication from us will never involve the following:
- Your OTP, app password, or UPI PIN
- Your debit or credit card number, CVV, or net banking login
- Any payment, fee, or "deposit" for reading our content, getting support, or "activating" an account
- Remote access to your phone through screen-sharing apps
- Copies of identity documents such as Aadhaar or PAN
We do not run a login system, a wallet, or a payment gateway on this website. If anyone claiming to be from IncoinPay.org.in asks for any of the items above, treat it as a scam, stop replying, and report it to us through the Contact page. In India you can also report online financial fraud on the national cybercrime portal or by calling 1930.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information described above only for purposes connected to running an informational website:
- Operating the site: Delivering pages, keeping them available, and fixing technical problems.
- Understanding readers: Learning which topics are useful and which pages are confusing, so we can improve or rewrite them.
- Replying to you: Answering questions, corrections, and feedback you send through the Contact page.
- Protecting the site: Spotting spam, automated abuse, and attempts to damage or misuse the website.
- Meeting legal duties: Responding to valid legal requests when the law requires it.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles about you, to decide anything about your creditworthiness, or to make automated decisions that affect you. We also do not use messages you send us to promote the Incoin Pay app to you.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your browser so it can remember something between visits. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in comparable ways.
Depending on how the site is configured at any given time, cookies or similar technologies may be used for:
- Essential functioning: Remembering basic preferences and keeping pages working correctly, including the navigation menu.
- Performance and analytics: Counting visits and understanding how pages are used. These tools usually report totals and trends rather than who you are.
- Third-party content: Services that load resources onto our pages, such as web fonts, may set or read their own cookies or log your request.
If we add advertising services in the future, we will update this section and describe them here before they go live. Ad providers may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and you would be able to manage that through your browser and the provider's own opt-out tools.
Your control: Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies in its settings, and many offer private browsing and "Do Not Track" style options. If you block cookies, our articles will still be readable, although some small conveniences may not work. Mobile users can also limit tracking through their phone's privacy settings.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
No website works in isolation, and ours relies on a few outside services. When your browser connects to them, they can see your IP address and basic device details, as they would on any other site that uses them.
- Google Fonts: Our pages load the Poppins typeface from Google's font servers so the text looks consistent across devices.
- Web hosting and network providers: Our hosting company and any content delivery network that speeds up the site process requests on our behalf and keep technical logs.
- Telegram: The floating Telegram button and channel links take you to t.me. Once you leave our site, Telegram's privacy practices apply.
- App download link: Our main guide includes a link to download an Android app file. When you download or install any app, the app's own developer and your device's app-install system handle the data involved, not us.
- UPI applications: Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and similar apps are mentioned only as examples of tools people use. We have no connection to them and receive no information from them.
Links to outside sites are provided for convenience and do not mean we endorse or control them. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any site or app before you give it personal information.
8. The App Is a Separate Service
This is the point readers most often get confused about, so we will be plain: this website and the Incoin Pay app are two different things.
If you install the app and register, the app may ask for your mobile number, collect device information, store your order history, and request permissions on your phone. All of that happens inside the app and is handled by whoever operates it. We do not see it, we do not store it, and we cannot change or delete it.
Before you register, we suggest you look inside the app for its own terms and privacy information, and ask yourself a few practical questions. What permissions is it asking for, and does it really need them? Who is named as the operator? How can you request deletion of your account? If you cannot find clear answers, treat that as useful information in itself.
Our guides describe how this kind of app generally works so you can make a more careful decision. They are not a substitute for the app's own policies, and nothing here creates a relationship between you and the app operator.
9. When We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only in the limited situations below:
- Service providers: Companies that help us run the site, such as hosting, security, and analytics providers, who may process data for us under their own terms.
- With your request: If you ask us to pass your message or complaint to someone, we will do so.
- Legal reasons: When a court order, law enforcement request, or other legal process properly requires us to, or when we need to protect our rights, our visitors, or the public from fraud or harm.
- Business changes: If the website is ever transferred to another owner, information may move with it, and we would update this policy so you know who is responsible.
We may also publish combined, non-identifying statistics, such as "most readers use Android phones". These cannot be traced back to you.
10. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only for as long as there is a reason to. Server and analytics records are generally held for a limited period and then deleted or reduced to summary statistics. Messages sent through the Contact page are kept for as long as needed to answer you and to handle any follow-up, and may be kept a little longer where there is a legal or security reason.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove the details that identify you. If you want something removed sooner, see Your Rights and Choices.
11. How We Protect Information
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle. These include serving the site over an encrypted HTTPS connection, limiting who can access administrative systems, keeping the site and its components updated, and avoiding the collection of sensitive data in the first place.
We should be honest about limits, though. No website or internet connection can be made perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission. That is one more reason we ask you not to send sensitive financial details by any channel connected with this site.
If we ever learn of a security incident that puts your personal information at real risk, we will act promptly to contain it and will notify affected people and the relevant authorities where the law requires.
12. Your Rights and Choices
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives individuals certain rights over their personal data, and we aim to respect the spirit of those rights for anyone who contacts us, wherever they live. In practice you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information of yours we hold, if any, and why
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date
- Delete information we no longer need, unless the law requires us to keep it
- Stop using your information for a purpose you object to, or withdraw consent you previously gave
- Respond to a privacy complaint or grievance
To make a request, use the Contact Us page and describe what you want, along with enough detail for us to find your message, such as the approximate date and the email address you used. We may need to confirm that the request really comes from you before we act on it. We will reply within a reasonable time, and if we cannot do what you ask, we will explain why.
You can also exercise control without contacting us: block cookies in your browser, use private browsing, and avoid submitting personal details through any form. If you are unhappy with how a privacy concern is handled, you may also have the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational under the Act.
13. Children's Privacy
Our guides deal with payments and token trading, subjects meant for adults. IncoinPay.org.in is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. We also encourage families to talk openly about online payments and to keep UPI PINs and OTPs private, even from friends.
14. Protecting Your Own Privacy Around P2P Apps
Because privacy and fraud are closely linked in this space, here are practical habits that go beyond our own website. They apply to any trading app, including the one our guides discuss.
- Review app permissions: Be wary of any app that asks for access to your contacts, messages, call logs, or photos when its purpose does not obviously need them. You can usually switch permissions off in your phone's settings.
- Use a separate UPI setup if you can: Where possible, trade from a bank account that does not hold your savings, so one mistake does not expose everything.
- Share only what a trade needs: A counterparty needs a UPI ID to receive money. They do not need your Aadhaar, your address, or your full banking history.
- Keep your own records: Save order details and payment confirmations for each trade. This helps if you ever need to raise a dispute or explain a transaction to your bank.
- Be careful in chat groups: Anything you post in a public Telegram or WhatsApp group, including screenshots, may reveal your name, UPI ID, or balance. Crop or hide details before sharing.
- Use strong, unique passwords: Do not reuse a password across apps, and turn on your phone's screen lock.
- Update your phone: Security updates close holes that fraudsters rely on.
For a fuller walkthrough, see our User Safety Guide.
15. Fake Websites, Fake Apps and Impersonation
Popular names attract copycats. Someone may build a website that looks like ours, create a Telegram group using our name, or message you pretending to be our team. The only address we use for this website is incoinpay.org.in. Look carefully at the spelling of any link before you click it, and prefer typing the address yourself or using a bookmark.
We do not send unsolicited messages asking you to install files, verify an account, or pay money. If you receive something that claims to come from us and feels wrong, do not click anything, and let us know through the Contact page so we can warn other readers where appropriate.
16. Changes to This Policy
Websites change, and so do laws. We may update this policy when we add a feature, start using a new type of service, or need to reflect a legal change. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we will make the update easy to notice on the site.
Please check this page from time to time. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised version. Older versions are not kept online, but you can ask us about earlier wording if you need it.
17. Contact Us
For questions about this Privacy Policy, requests relating to your information, or reports of impersonation, please reach us through our Contact Us page. Please mention that your message is about privacy so it reaches the right person.
We cannot help with issues inside the Incoin Pay app, such as login failures, withdrawals, or disputes with other users, because we have no access to it. For those, use the app's own in-app support or appeal option. Related pages that may help: Disclaimer and About Us.
